Brill Photography Privacy Notice
(How I use client’s data)

What data does Brill Photography collect?

When an enquiry is made via www.brillphotography.co.uk, Brill Photography’s Facebook page or via email to brillphotography@hotmail.com, I collect the following information from you: your full name, email address, home address and telephone number (if provided) upon booking a photoshoot. Brill Photography also holds on file all the edited digital images from your photoshoot, including any that were not purchased.

The website www.brillphotography.co.uk uses cookies to analyse traffic, this is done via Google Analytics and is not shared with any other third parties. You consent to cookies if you use my website.

Why does Brill Photography collect this data?

Your full name and address is required to be present on a consent form before a photoshoot is booked. It is also used for invoicing and posting your photos to the correct place of residence.

How will my data and photos be used?

Your data is NOT shared with or sold to any outside individuals. Brill Photography will only share your full name and address with Royal Mail so your parcel can be delivered to you. Your photos will never be shared on the Brill Photography website, social media channels or in other promotional materials unless you have given written consent to Brill Photography.

How does Brill Photography keep your data secure?

You photos are stored for a limited time on a password protected laptop. They are also stored via a password protected ‘client area’ on the website www.brillphotography.co.uk. This website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. For further information on their privacy policy please see www.wix.com/about/privacy.

On completion of a client’s photoshoot the photos are either digitally shared via the website 'WeTransfer' (please visit https://wetransfer.com/legal/terms for their privacy policy) or posted to the client on a USB stick (via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery). The photos are then moved to a password protected hard drive where they are stored indefinitely or until a client requests their deletion.

Brill Photography employs security measures on all devices to ensure data is stored securely. Data may also be stored on a fingerprint-locked mobile device if contact by email/phone is made via this device.

Data stored as a hard copy: Brill Photography does not print any photographs for promotional publications without your written consent. The only data printed/written is an address label which is then placed on your parcel and sent to you. Your full name, delivery address, email address and your photos are stored securely via a laptop or external hard drive and would only be accessed should Brill Photography need to contact you or should you request your photos.

Requesting a copy of the Data Brill Photography holds:

You can request a copy of all the data Brill Photography currently holds on file for you. Brill Photography is legally required to provide this to you free of charge and within a month of the original request. Please email brillphotography@hotmail.com should you request this information.

Requesting Brill Photography delete all data held:

If you would like Brill Photography to delete all information held on file, I am legally required to do so should you request it. Please email brillphotography@hotmail.com.

Policy Updates

I reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If I make material changes to this policy, I will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information I collect, how I use it, and under what circumstances, if any, I use and/or disclose it.
